Information I Collect

I collect several types of information for various purposes to provide and improve my service to you. When you visit my website, I collect both information that you voluntarily provide and information that is automatically collected through various analytics tools.

For visitor comments, I collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection through Akismet. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it.

For analytics purposes, I use multiple tools including Umami, Cloudflare Analytics, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. Umami is privacy-focused and does not collect any personally identifiable information, anonymizing all collected data. Microsoft Clarity helps me understand how visitors interact with my website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays. Cloudflare Analytics provides metadata about website traffic and performance, while Google Analytics helps track user engagement and behavior patterns.
